Feature requests

We're notified when an item is marked as reserved, but it would be great if we can be notified when someone marks something as received. A collaborator can mark when something in received but right now the system won't let us know notify the person in charge (or other collaborator) of the list. Would be great if it could, so I could know to thank the gifter.

I would like to know when people see my wishlist or when they click on the link just so i could know that people received it.

I would be very grateful if you added the ability to separate gifts, for example, “books”, “appliances”, “for the home” and so on

From the wish list page I want to be able to quickly move/add items from ideas for the same person

A public API allowing you to use Giftwhale in any way you want

It would be great to have a translation tool at the gift list page :)

So for example on a wishlist, i find that it would be helpful if you could move items up or down the list, for example i had a bunch of 5's (things i need) and i wanted to sort them so they could see which ones i want more than others in the 5 priority.

Currently the only privacy setting for lists are Only Me, Friends on Giftwhale, or Public. This makes it impossible to create lists that are only viewable to a limited group of people. I have lists I want to share with only my partner, but do not want visible by others, and currently the only way to do that is to only accept friend requests from her and no-one else. This is pretty limiting for other collaboration. There should be a fourth option, "Invite-Only," which either requires a password to access or allows users to select a subset of friends who have access. This way I can comfortably retain the ability to request gifts from certain people and hide those requests from others.

Instead of being required to have every potential participants email handy in order to invite them, they should be able to visit a link to an active Secret Santa exchange and opt-in or request the owner to be added.
